Friday 4 February is Uneven Socks Day in Italy. The initiative was born in a primary school in Terzo di Aquileia, in the province of Udine, starting from the idea of teacher Sabrina Flapp, who wanted to raise children's awareness of autism and other differences.
The message to young and old: "different is beautiful"
The action aims to raise awareness of diversity and spread the spirit of friendship and acceptance, simply by wearing socks that don't match. The basic idea: even though they are different, they are still socks that fulfil their function.
To participate in Odd Socks Day, only a few simple steps are required:
→ Wear different, imaginative and playful socks on Friday 4 February;
→ Join our Instagram campaign and show us that diversity is cool by sending us a picture of your odd socks or even tagging us in your story.
So let’s celebrate any kind of Diversity because only differences make us in the end special!
