AT 41 I WOKE UP PREGNANT!
A business woman with a latent desire for family and stability, but with a great love for her work, her freedom, travel, the craziness of weekends.
In today's society, there are always more women with a similar experience to mine. You graduate from university at the age of 22, then masters, internships, travel abroad, work hard to get to a position where you feel rewarded for all your efforts to create a certain status around you. While you devote body and soul to your career, social life, extreme sporting activities, all around you many friends are having children, getting married, dedicating the right amount of time to work, balancing it with their families and sacrificing their free time.
You look at yourself in the mirror and you feel happy and free, you almost feel proud of the way you are approaching life, in the total flow of what is happening, without limits and without boundaries of any kind. You date several men and then find the right one, also with an adventurous spirit with which you can continue to move like a dragonfly between scripts.
Inevitably, your clock ticks away at 40 and you ask yourself: "how come without any protection, without the pill and without any schemes, I have never got pregnant? Do I have a problem? And why not get married, start a family? I've seen a lot in the end, and having a family is not like creating a grave and burying yourself alive, it's just another way of looking at things....". So, a constant thought begins in your brain and you are no longer so happy, you feel that a pinch of salt is missing from your favorite dish, you feel an emptiness to be filled inside... here the sense of motherhood has taken over but anyway there is work which continues to fill your days to the brim, and so you think about it in the evenings and at weekends. But then he comes along, Covid-19, and everyone is locked in.
A worldwide disaster without any buts, a total burn-out of the Universe with strong consequences on social life, travel and work, as if suddenly in this mad race someone had slammed on a handbrake and everyone stopped. In this period, there were broken couples and reborn couples who gave birth to a child... and so I woke up pregnant. I can't believe it, in the end I just needed to "slow down" all the hustle and bustle of life, to love intensely and enjoy the adventurous partner in total relaxation and without too many adventures.

Dear 40 year old mothers-to-be, there is never a limit to the power of becoming a mother and to the destiny that life has in store for us, and maybe it's not such a bad thing to have enjoyed life to the fullest before taking on a second leading role in our journey, and in this if there is also attention to the environment, to the future of the planet that we will leave to our children. The 9 months pass quickly, they seem long, but amidst heartburn and various itches, you discover a whole new world that no one had ever remotely told you about... or had I simply been selectively listening!
