HOW TO ORGANISE YOUR BABY'S ROOM
Here are some tips to make it practical and welcoming
When you are expecting a baby, generally speaking, the nursery is one of the first things you think about.
Clearing it out, setting it up, furnishing it is not only fun but is a fundamental step in preparing the nest.
And yet, especially in the early days, the room will only serve to contain objects because your child, for comfort, will stay close to you.
The suggestion, therefore, is not to fill up the small room, to prepare the essentials and then make it grow with your child according to his needs.

What can we consider essential?
You will need, certainly
- A place to sleep and its bedding
- A place to store clothes
- A light for the night
I suggest setting up a place to change in the bathroom or the nearest place to it.

bedroom and bedtime

In the first few months, the feedings are frequent, therefore, many mothers prefer to have the baby close to them, in the same room. The solutions are varied and all valid: Montessori basket, trio cot, real cot, next to me, cot, cot next to the double bed.
The room may not have a cot for the time being and you can add one later when your child starts to get used to the environment.
Or you could prepare one of those adaptable cots, that is, with slats that can be positioned at different heights and side rails that can be removed, so you can be sure that sooner or later he will use it.
Depending on what you choose, get the right size of the bedding, and remember to use a waxed sheet (which adheres well to the mattress) to protect the mattress in case of nappy spills.
To prevent SIDS or cot death, it is advisable not to put anything other than your baby in the cot: blankets, quilts, duvets, terry towels, pillows, and soft toys should therefore be avoided. Besides, babies tend to uncover themselves when they move their legs, so a sleeping bag is often the best solution.

wardrobe for the bedroom

A place to store clothes in the nursery is necessary, and has been since before the baby was born.
It will be more practical to fold most of your baby's clothes, so choose drawers or a wardrobe with a bar and shelves where you can put boxes. Her clothes will be very small and boxes or organisers will prevent them from getting scattered in drawers or on shelves and help you keep things tidy.

bedroom: the night light

An essential item is a night light that will accompany your child from birth to adulthood if you choose an appropriate model.
What does it need to last "forever"? Not be childlike, be rechargeable, be LED, have warm and cold light, have a timer, and be dimmable.

Children grow up quickly, so bear this in mind when decorating your room: it is best to choose neutral tones for the walls and furniture and give character to the room with accessories such as textiles (cushions, curtains, carpets), prints (posters, pictures) and various decorations (flags, stickers).
